Tornadoes, dresser, and a sneak peek

Hope you all had an amazing weekend. I am so happy to welcome March! Spring is just around the corner… big sigh of relief :) I’m not much of a winter gal. Only thing is with spring comes crazy weather. We already had a little taste of this Friday. Beginning of March and it had already hit the 80′s! That pretty much means you can expect a tornado somewhere. We had tornado warnings galore, spotted funnels, hail, and 70 mph winds. Where was I during all of this? My brilliant self was trying to finish up a couple of quick errands…

I found myself running into Walmart for one thing I needed, when I walked in and they said “Miss, we need you to go to the back of the store! We are on lock down for a tornado!.” I briefly considered turning around and bolting back out, because seriously if this was going to be the end, I didn’t want to spend my last moments in the back of Walmart. I rarely even go to Walmart! Once in the back, they had us get into the bathrooms. Really? I’m all good in this hallway, I will even grab a bicycle helmet to wear… no? still have to get in the bathroom? After chatting with some nice ladies in there, we were finally told we were free to leave, and I then knew I would live to see more than a Walmart toilet :)

Other than my Walmart survival, I was able to get a “Pottery Barn” style dresser up for sale this weekend. This is it below and I will also add it to the “currently for sale” section for those interested:

I also finished the antique waterfall dressers , and had them ready to post but there really wasn’t enough daylight left to take good pictures, so it will have to wait until tomorrow. Until then, here is a little sneak peek…

Everyone have a great week!

  1. Tess, your writing is so much fun…. I think your future is golden with all the talent you have in so many areas! I look forward to each accomplishment!! And I can see where, unlike me, you don’t look like a Wal-Mart girl.
